At Beth Israel Hospital, he completed a one-year general surgery internship and then a three-year residency there. At Loma Linda University, he completed his two-year plastic surgery residency and became the Plastic Surgery Chief Resident. Afterward, he fulfilled a one-year fellowship in hand and microsurgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the doctor is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Southern California Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He is also board-certified through the American Board of Plastic Surgery, whose mission is to promote safe, ethical, and efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
