Continuing in her drive to give back, Mariluz Bermúdez, known for her roles in the telenovelas is now officially appointed as the first celebrity woman and ambassador for Unspoken Smiles, a testament to her commitment to social causes.

The appointment of Mariluz is timely because starting next month Unspoken Smiles is planning to open the world's first fully preventative community dental clinic in San Jose, Costa Rica. As a result, 365,799 people currently living in San Jose, which is roughly a third of Costa Rica's total population, will now be able to get universal access to preventative dental care and avoid painful and costly procedures which can have a tremendous impact on their overall health.
