Corrections and withdrawals
How to report a mistake, and what we do when a story is wrong.
If an Asean Coverage story is wrong, tell us. We correct confirmed mistakes and withdraw stories that should not have been published.
What to include
- The address (URL) of the story.
- The sentence or number that is wrong, and what it should say.
- A link to a source that shows the right fact, if you have one.
- An email address, so we can ask a question if we need to.
What we do with your report
- We compare the story with the source it links to, and with any evidence you send.
- If the story does not match its source, we fix it. The story then shows when it was last updated.
- If the source itself is wrong or changed, we say so in the story, or withdraw the story if it can no longer be relied on.
- If the story is right, we leave it as it is.
Publishers
If you published the source of one of our stories and you want us to remove the story, tell us through the same form and name the story. We withdraw it.
