Sitarist Anoushka Shankar will stage a pop-up gathering at the Temple of Fine Arts in Malaysia at 8pm on October 4, following the cancellation of her planned concert at Plenary Hall.

Shankar said her team had organised the event independently of the promoter behind the cancelled concert. Refunds for that show will be handled separately. Only people with valid tickets for the original performance can attend, and seats will be assigned in arrival order.

In her social media announcement, she thanked the venue, Malaysian sitarist Kumar Karthigesu, her musicians, crew and others for helping arrange the gathering at short notice. She encouraged fans to arrive early because the venue is smaller.
