Charlie Lim sets Manila showcase and new collaboration with Young Cocoa
Clara Benin and Young Cocoa will join the Singaporean singer-songwriter for a DAYDREAM album event in Makati on 11 October.

Singaporean singer-songwriter Charlie Lim will return to Manila after seven years for a DAYDREAM showcase on 11 October. The event at ANALOG MNL in Makati’s Rockwell Center will include a live performance and a session to hear the album on vinyl, with Clara Benin and Young Cocoa joining him.
Before the visit, Lim will put out a new version of One Day I’ll Learn at midnight on 7 October. Filipino rapper Young Cocoa has added a verse to the DAYDREAM song, addressing regret, reflection and lessons from earlier mistakes.
The musicians collaborated remotely. Young Cocoa said he initially listened without consulting the lyrics, drawing on his feelings and personal experiences when writing. He also said Lim encouraged him to experiment. Lim said the rapper’s contribution introduced a perspective he would not have reached himself.
Lim’s previous Manila appearance was at the 2019 Wanderland Music Festival. He said a smaller venue would allow more conversation with listeners and suited the personal nature of DAYDREAM.
He will also take part in FILSCAP’s Asia Songwriting Master Camp 2026 alongside other songwriters from the region.
