Nene Royal lands debut voice role in Disney animation Hexed
The 16-year-old America’s Got Talent 2026 winner will play Billie, with Thai cinema screenings scheduled to begin on November 26.

Singer-guitarist Nene Royal will make her first appearance as a voice actor playing Billie for the Thai dub of Disney’s Hexed. Cinemas in Thailand are scheduled to show the animation from November 26, offering both Thai-dubbed and English-language screenings.
Known formally as Rattikarn “Nene” Amloy, the Thai performer is 16 and won America’s Got Talent 2026. She told TNN that sharing Billie’s age helped her identify with the character. Hailee Steinfeld performs the English voice role.
Nene described the Disney opportunity to TNN as exciting, while saying that communicating a character’s feelings, thoughts and personality through voice alone presented an unfamiliar challenge. She said she was determined to give life to Billie.
The plot centres on Billie discovering magical abilities and inadvertently setting them loose, leaving her suburban surroundings for the witch realm of Hexe. She and her mother Alice then uncover a family secret that alters the magical world. Alice’s English voice is provided by Rashida Jones.
The production comes from Walt Disney Animation Studios. Directing duties are shared by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, while Josie Trinidad is co-director and Roy Conli produces. Veerasunthorn, a Thai filmmaker, also worked on Raya and the Last Dragon.
