The show comes after the September release of Let’s THRAK Again, which pays tribute to King Crimson’s 1995 album THRAK. The trio is taking the record on tour through North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
Stick Men formed in 2007. Their instrumental setup combines Levin’s Chapman Stick and Reuter’s 8-string Touch Guitar with Mastelotto’s acoustic and electronic percussion. Both string players use two-handed tapping to produce bass parts, melodies and layered sounds.
Levin’s recording and touring career includes work with King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, John Lennon, David Bowie and Pink Floyd. Mastelotto is also a King Crimson member and co-founded Mr. Mister, while Reuter’s background includes progressive rock, electronic music and contemporary composition.
