The Hidden Hand (Dia Perempuan Sialan) reached the top of Viu’s rankings in both Malaysia and Indonesia during the week following its September 18 debut. The Viu Original drama also attracted more than 75 million social media views over that period, according to analytics from Meta, Hootsuite and TikTok Analytics.

Rumah Karya Citra produced the series from an original concept by Erma Fatima. Nur Sharif directed it, with Siti Jasmina writing the script. Among the cast are Meerqeen, Hannah Delisha, Caitlin Halderman, Datin Sri Umie Aida and Farah Ahmad.

The plot centres on Puan Sri Asyikin, played by Datin Sri Umie Aida, and the consequences of her cruelty towards Bulan, her domestic helper, played by Farah Ahmad. Bulan’s daughter Riska, portrayed by Caitlin Halderman, takes a domestic-helper job in the household to seek revenge for her mother.

Riska’s scheme changes course as supernatural events emerge in the mansion, bringing horror and family secrets into the revenge story. The series is scheduled to run for 12 episodes, with instalments arriving exclusively on Viu on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
