Filipino group SB19 and Japanese singer-actor Kento Nakajima released ‘GENTO feat. Kento Nakajima’ on 30 October, bringing their joint festival performance to a recorded version. Nakajima contributed to the special lyrics for the track.

The artists first performed the collaboration together in Tokyo at SUMMER SONIC 2026 on 15 August. The recording keeps the original song’s focus on achievement, effort and demonstrating one’s worth, while adding Nakajima’s perspective.

The partnership grew out of an earlier SB19 visit to Japan, during which the artists filmed a TikTok project called ‘GENTO with Kento Nakajima’. The response to that project helped lead to the official collaboration.

SB19 said meeting Nakajima and subsequently performing alongside him showed them how well he connected with the song’s message. The group said the partnership reaffirmed music’s power, while Nakajima said listeners had been anticipating the recording since its festival debut.
