Hanoi reviews tourism boost from BigBang stadium shows
Tourist arrivals reached around 220,000 on October 23 and 24, an increase of 15.6 per cent from the previous week.

BigBang’s performances in Hanoi on October 24 and 25 drew about 90,000 spectators from Vietnam and abroad, according to a departmental review that linked the shows to stronger demand for tourism and services. The concerts took place at My Dinh National Stadium.
The department recorded around 220,000 tourist arrivals in Hanoi during October 23 and 24, including approximately 67,900 international arrivals. The total was up 15.6 per cent compared with the previous week, while demand increased for accommodation, dining, shopping and transport.
Hanoi-bound flight bookings on Trip.com rose by 74 per cent, and Traveloka searches for travel to the city quadrupled. Occupancy at some hotels rated three to five stars reached 75–100 per cent.
The department said the performances showed that Hanoi’s infrastructure could satisfy leading entertainment companies’ requirements for sound, stage technology and safety. It said the city would further improve management and safety arrangements for international cultural events and strengthen connections between tourism, services and cultural activities.
