A festival featuring musicians from South Korea and Vietnam will take place in Hanoi on October 24–25, with free admission. An outdoor stage close to the South Korean embassy’s rear gate will host performances from 5pm on each day.

Bands are the focus of the event. The South Korean performers include QWER, Silica Gel, TOUCHED and The Shepherd Bois, alongside singer-songwriter MIJINEE. DJEMBE COLA will present music drawing on African Manding traditions.

Vietnamese singer-songwriter Hoang Dung is scheduled to perform together with Mau Nuoc Band. Cultural activities associated with the 2026 Korean Cultural Road Festival will accompany the music.

South Korean Ambassador Lee Miyon expressed hope that the festival would connect with audiences across Vietnam and help encourage cultural exchanges between the two countries.

The event forms part of Korea Season 2026. South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hosts the programme, while the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange organises it with the Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam as co-organiser.

The Vietnam programme opened in May with GAT, a Korean ballet staged at Hanoi’s Ho Guom Opera. Its forthcoming activities include classical concerts, music festivals and exhibitions pairing media art with painting.
