BLACKPINK member LISA released PRESS PLAY through LLOUD Co./RCA Records on 23 October, pairing the six-track EP with a video for its focus track, Tarantino. The project draws on her interest in cinema.

In the Tarantino video, LISA makes her way through a hotel to deliver a note to Quentin Tarantino, her favourite director. Her journey includes fights with people who block her path.

The EP includes the earlier single SaWaDiKa, named after a Thai greeting meaning hello. Its video was shot in Bangkok, and the song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 69. LISA first performed it on television at the MTV Video Music Awards, where Dream earned her Best Pop, making her the category’s first solo K-pop winner.

Next on her schedule is the VIVA LA LISA residency at Las Vegas venue The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The November run grew to six nights after the original four shows sold out in less than 10 minutes.

A separate film project, Sue Kim’s documentary Always Lalisa, has opened in cinemas worldwide after premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival. It traces LISA’s solo work around Alter Ego, the creation of LLOUD and her first solo appearance at Coachella.
