Singaporean DJ and producer CHICHI released ‘She Like It’ on 30 October, marking his debut on Make The Girls Dance. He is the first artist from Singapore to join the house label, which HUGEL and Juany Bravo founded.

Before the single’s release, HUGEL had played it during his appearances at Coachella and Tomorrowland. The track combines indie dance and tech house with Afrohouse rhythms, using percussion and a vocal hook.

CHICHI said he developed the single using lessons from a decade of DJ sets about what gets audiences moving. Further releases with Make The Girls Dance are planned, and the label has already signed two additional tracks.

He began DJing while serving national service in Singapore. His subsequent venue appearances include Avalon, Behind the Green Door, Jungle Ballroom at Mondrian and Tanjong Beach Club, alongside Miss Fish in Bali.

He has also opened for ARTBAT, Shimza, Alan Dixon and Bun Xapa. His music spans Afro house, indie dance and tech house, drawing on his experiences of dancefloors in Singapore and Spain.
