IGDX 2026 brings 339 game studios together in Bali
The event drew 66 publishers from a participating field spanning 31 countries, with organisers seeking international partnerships for Indonesian developers.

Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX) 2026 hosted 339 game studios and 66 publishers in Sanur, Bali, on 21-23 October 2026, according to organisers. Participants represented 31 countries at the gathering, which aimed to connect developers with potential business partners and overseas markets.
The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi) and the Indonesian Game Association (AGI) organised the event at Bali Beach Convention Center as part of Bali Tech Week 2026. Organisers recorded 543 business-category participants and 1,037 general-category participants, with nine event partners supporting the programme.
Business meetings, conference sessions, product demonstrations and exhibitions gave studios opportunities to present their projects. Organisers hoped contacts made during IGDX would lead to investment, joint development and publishing agreements.
In a statement dated 24 October 2026, Kemkomdigi's director of digital ecosystem development, Sonny Hendra Sudaryana, said the aim was to give Indonesian studios clearer routes for growth while helping international partners better understand local talent and capabilities.
No details on investment values or the number of publishing contracts resulting from IGDX 2026 had been announced by organisers. Kemkomdigi's director-general of digital ecosystems, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, had previously put Indonesia's gaming market at more than US$2 billion, with more than 80 million players.
